•True Vine has set up Village Learning Centres in most of the village churches in areas where there are no schools.
•These Village Learning Centres are the only learning facilities in their areas. Schools are miles away and children either have to walk over 2 hours to reach school or stay at home.
•The Village Learning Centres are a welcome project in the communities and many are even willing to donate land for them.
•The Village Learning Centres are helping hundreds of children in these rural areas. But there is the problem of lack of teachers!
When we go to a village either to dig a well or recruit children into the sponsorship program, we see that as an opportunity to preach the love of Jesus to the people.
We then identify a local church in the area and partner with them to start a VLC.
Where there is no church, we work together with the local authority and the local people to establish a VLC. God always provides people who are willing to sacrifice and work in such difficult conditions to see that the new VLC takes off.
We then begin serious work in that village and pray that God provides for growth.
Our hope is to develop these centres into fully established schools.
